Kaziranga National Park: A Wildlife Paradise in Assam and UNESCO World Heritage Site

Kaziranga National Park, located in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam, is one of India's most iconic wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Reticulated pythons, rock pythons, monitor lizards, and the king cobra, the world’s longest venomous snake, are among its reptilian residents. Bird lovers can enjoy spotting kingfishers, pelicans, vultures, ducks, and geese, making Kaziranga a top destination for birdwatching in Assam.

The Ganges river dolphin, an endangered aquatic species, also inhabits Kaziranga’s water channels, adding another layer of ecological significance to the park.
